Jackie Collins had an affair with Marlon Brando? WTF?

Well it happened a long time ago, but it’s still interesting news. In a wide-ranging interview with American tabloid The Globe, the British author of sensationalist sex novels like ‘Bitch’ confessed sleeping with Brando when she was 15.

Attending a Hollywood party with her older sister – the actress Joan Collins – Jackie claims that:

“He sent someone over to me to say, ‘Marlon thinks you’re great-looking and have a great body and would like to meet you.’ We had a very brief but fabulous affair. He was at the height of his fame and gorgeous.”

Collins, now 72, claimed to have ‘the body of a 19 year old’ at the age of 14, but regardless how well she was stacked, Brando could have faced serious legal problems had the affair come to light at the time. California law allows for a 4 year jail sentence for anyone having sex with an under 18 if there is more than 3 years between them.

Brando, like a lot of movie stars, was alleged to have an enormous sexual appetite. In interviews, he alluded to numerous affairs – including a long lasting one with Marilyn Monroe. His tastes just didn’t stop with women. Famously, he told an interviewer in 1976:

“Homosexuality is so much in fashion it no longer makes news. Like a large number of men, I, too, have had homosexual experiences and I am not ashamed. I have never paid much attention to what people think about me”

So there you have it.

Wow. We had him down as a bread and butter, up at the crack of dawn on the links in plus-4s kinda guy. But now we know that his ‘extra practice’ was taking place nowhere near a fairway. In fact, you might say he was spending way more time in the rough.

And you can forget about a hole in one – he had a hole in 6! Six!!

That’s the number of women who have now gone public on affairs with Woods. As well as Rachel Uchitel and Jaime Grubb – Tiger was using his 1 wood on another Las Vegas party girl, a New York nightclubber and a waitress from Florida plus various other floozies who were dazzled by his putting ability.

(I can’t resist these gags – but fear not, only another couple of paragraphs to go!)

Anyway, this is the peril that serial offenders must run. Having an affair is one thing – and it’s conceivable you might get away with it – but trying to juggle 6 people at once is going to trip you up in the end.

And if you’re famous and the promise of a fat cheque is just a shag away, why wouldn’t you take advantage of some star’s loose fly.

Away from the joking though is the tale of a poor wife who married for love, has kept out of the spotlight and raised kids under the difficult circumstances of being married to one of the world’s most famous sportsmen. Spare a thought for her while you chuckle.

Tiger Woods Statement / Confession on Adultery Allegation

“I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone.

Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means. For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives. The stories in particular that physical violence played any role in the car accident were utterly false and malicious. Elin has always done more to support our family and shown more grace than anyone could possibly expect.

But no matter how intense curiosity about public figures can be, there is an important and deep principle at stake which is the right to some simple, human measure of privacy. I realize there are some who don’t share my view on that. But for me, the virtue of privacy is one that must be protected in matters that are intimate and within one’s own family. Personal sins should not require press releases and problems within a family shouldn’t have to mean public confessions.

Whatever regrets I have about letting my family down have been shared with and felt by us alone. I have given this a lot of reflection and thought and I believe that there is a point at which I must stick to that principle even though it’s difficult.

I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves. For all of those who have supported me over the years, I offer my profound apology.”

Tiger Woods affairs… women to go public?

Well the internet has been alive with rumours about Tiger Woods for some time – rumours that came to a head following his ‘car crash‘ last week. Now, even as reliable a source as the The Times is acknowledging the rumours so it looks like the story is finally going to break.

A Vegas cocktail waitress revelling in the (appropriate?) name Jaimee Grubbs has been the first to break cover – claiming that she has over 300 “racy” texts from the golfing legend dating back to 2007. However, the ‘other woman’ alleged to have been at the centre of the mysterious car crash last week, Rachel Uchitel, has gone public with her denials.  She told the New York Post:

“I have not had an affair with Tiger Woods. I’m a recluse, I don’t go out, I stay home with my dogs and friends.”

All well and good, but she was photographed earlier this year publically cavorting in the Caribeean with American Idol host Ryan “Who?” Seacrest.

Is there any truth in these rumours? Perhaps not surprisingly Woods himself is still issuing denials – despite still refusing to answer questions from police about the circumstances around the “car crash”. And it is true that anyone as much in the public eye as Woods is will always attract sensational rumours and the attention of gold-diggers eager for a slice of that fame and money.

But then again, history has shown that those under such pressures often make people crack and do silly things like dip their wick into a cocktail waitress when really they should know better.

Tiger Woods: Car Crash or Cheating?

Not at golf, you ninny. We couldn’t give a shit about golf. We’re talking about the same thing we always talk about here – adultery.

Yep. Tiger Woods, with his multi-million dollar endorsements and whiter-than-white public image. Now this is still in the realm of official denial, but TMZ (the website that broke the news that Michael Jackson was dead) reports that he spent last night sat on a kerb with a bloody lip after an altercation with his wife. The reason? An alleged affair.

Officially this is all down to some sort of car crash, but word on the street is of an alleged affair and a fight with his wife, who allegedly packs quite a left hook.

It’s been the stuff of internet tittle-tattle for quite a while now, but nothing official as yet. We’re quite surprised at this case though: someone like Woods must have a near monomaniacal devotion to his sport to achieve what he has done.

Yet despite the endless 5 o’clock wake-up calls, hours on the course and watching videos of his swing, he’s apparently managed to find time to boff someone on the wide. And have a wife.

There’s a man with serious issues with his drive. Not the kind of thing David Ledbetter’s going to be able to sort out though. Mind you, I bet he’d like to study the videos.

Amy Winehouse Adultery & Divorce

Amy Winehouse has found herself divorced following some extra-marital shindigs. Frankly, we’d have divorced her on the basis of irreconcilable hair, but there you go. Her estranged hubbie, Blake Fielder-Civil was granted the divorce by decree nisi after Winehouse admitted adultery in court.

Normally, in cases of celebrity cheating, we find that it’s because the famous party is stunning, gifted and rich. Whoever thought that an encounter with the skeletal Winehouse, pepped up on goofballs and wandering around reeking of gin represented an attractive proposition has our sympathy.

Surely no coincidence that he wasn’t named in court. Would you have publicly confessed to having had her gnashers anywhere near your groin?

Enid Blyton Adultery: Is Nothing Sacred??

Noddy. The Famous Five. The Secret Seven. Thatched cottages and lashings of ginger beer. That’s the Enid Blyton we know. But a new TV drama, starring Helena Bonham-Carter and with the approval of Blyton’s daughter Imogen is set to reveal that the author was actually “bonkers”.

Maybe that’s no news to anyone, but the show also reveals that she was a cold-blooded adulteress. Cripes!

Blyton’s daughters have explicitly endorsed the show’s portrayal of heras a weird, distant and manipulative mother. Amongst authors of children’s books, this is surprisingly common. It is held by some that the best children’s authors are themselves childlike and unable to deal with adult relationships.

Having said that, there was nothing childlike in Blyton’s affairs – which were numerous. Perhaps the most stunning news of all is that her elder daughter is to announce in an upcoming book of reminisces about life with her mother that Blyton was also having a lesbian affair with the girls’ nanny.

If this sort of thing is common among children’s authors, we’re still hoping that J.K. Rowling is still playing the field. She’s a prime piece of wizard-writing ass, and no mistake.

Ronnie Wood Divorces After Affair (you guessed it!)

I don’t what you expect if you marry a Rolling Stone. Well, if you marry one now, you can probably look forward to wild weekends of woodland walks, or sharing a packet of Werthers Originals whilst complaining about the volume on the Antiques Roadshow.

You know how old the Stones are? Jokes about them being old are old!

Anyway, Jo Wood married Ronnie at the height of the Stones’ fame. And in those days they cut a rather  different dash. Drugs. Drink. Women. Violence – even murder – followed the Stones wherever they went. They were the high priests of the rock ‘n’ roll myth. At the centre of it in the seventies was the quasi love-affair between Ronnie Wood and Keef. Both louche outsiders with a taste for decadent behaviour on the road. Perhaps surprisingly, Ronnie was happily married for all that time.

So it’s kind of sad to learn that Ronnie and Jo are calling it quits. Of all the Stones, he seemed the most grounded – with none of the nose-tweaking self mythology that surrounded the others. He genuinely was just one of the lads.

Anyway, after all those years of hellraising, it’s awful to see that he’s finally been caught dipping his wick where he shouldn’t and wound up in court. The divorce leaves Jo a cool £6.5 million better off, but really – can you put a price on being married to a Rolling Stone?

Ricky Whittle: Dancer, Actor, Cheat

Ricky Whittle’s chiselled caramel torso has been setting fire to the nations’ collective undergarments ever since he strutted onto the stage in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing. As well as his Hollywood good lucks and Hollyoaks fan club, he has also been seeing fellow Channel 4 stunner Carley Stenson – who plays opposite him in the teatime soap.

The couple have announced their split and it is believed to have its roots in – yep, you guessed it – infidelity.

Whittle is alleged to have been sleeping with model Charlie Allen last year after meeting her in a Blackpool nightclub (the glamourous lives of the stars!) and plying her with classic lies like “I’m single” and  ”bald men are sexier”

Anyway, after stumbling on together for a year, Whittle has found out the hard way that adultery can be a one-way pass to singledom.

I’m sure he’s very bothered by that. Bastard.

Fergie’s Husband Cheating?

Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie is famous for… er… being the singer in the Black Eyed Peas, I guess. She’s smokin’ hot and loaded. And yet, according to reports, her 10 month old marriage to Josh Duhamel is under strain following claims made by a stripper that he had a fling with her.

Normally for celebs, they’re the ones out cheating. They’re talented, wealthy and have millions of acolytes who’ll try anything to get a squeeze on their favourite poster boy/girl. All that temptation means that more often than not, the childhood sweetheart they married finds themselves dumped in favour of some amazing piece of ass.

The flipside of the coin is someone like Duhamel finding themselves alone at home while their spouse is off gallavanting around the globe on promotional junkets.

Hell – people whose spouses are accountants get the urge to fill a gap in their lives while hubby is at a Account Expo 09 in Pissant Hill, Georgia. God knows what it’s like when your partner is a world-class sex bomb away on tour for 9 months of the year.

Anyway, the couple are staying tight-lipped. In the absence of a PR war, that might mean that the couple of spending private time together to sort out their troubles, rather than fighting it out through the pages of the scandal sheets.
